Innovation in offshore wind power: Ocean Winds open to dialogue with the market

Thank you for the extremely high attendance at the webinar on innovation in offshore wind energy on 27 November 2024. We are impressed by the market’s commitment and enthusiasm towards the topics proposed by Ocean Winds. This inspiring event confirmed the potential of Polish companies and their readiness to actively support the development of the offshore wind sector.

During the webinar, we focused on the key areas where we see opportunities for innovation. Ocean Winds would like to map the current state of solutions in the market and learn about the trends shaping the future of this rapidly growing industry. We believe that there is no development of the offshore wind sector without innovation, so we are committed to an open dialogue with the market.

We would like to thank the co-organizers of the event – the Pomeranian Offshore Platform (PPO) for Offshore Wind Energy, the West Pomeranian Maritime Cluster and the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Katowice. Their support and involvement were crucial to the success of the webinar.
During the event, participants had the opportunity to:

  • learn about the global innovation ecosystem in offshore wind energy from an Ocean Winds perspective,
  • learn about key areas of innovation in the global offshore supply chain.
The agenda for the webinar included:
  • an overview of the offshore wind farm construction process,
  • presentation of the Innovation Outlook,
  • examples of collaboration with partners,
  • a question-and-answer session

Participants had the opportunity to meet individuals representing Ocean Winds’ innovation department to propose solutions to OW innovation challenges, receive technical support and feedback on selected ideas, technologies or R&D project proposals.
