Ocean Winds certified Great Place to Work for the second consecutive time in Poland!

Great Place to Work® is an internationally recognized accreditation for people management, awarded to employers who create outstanding employee satisfaction and workplace culture.
• This certification recognizes Ocean Winds as a trustworthy organization that takes care of its employees from the onboarding process through their entire career and is committed to attracting and retaining talent.

Warsaw, December 12th, 2023 – Ocean Winds (OW), an international offshore wind energy company created by EDP Renewables (EDPR) and ENGIE (50:50), has received the Great Place to Work certification for the second consecutive year in Poland, where OW is currently developing BC-Wind Project, which is expected to be operating since 2027. The GPTW certification is a two-step process, obtained through an independent analysis and where employees have a key role as they must complete a survey with their feedback, providing an accurate portrayal of OW’s work envi-ronment.

With a team of nearly 50 employees, OW is committed with delivering green energy to the country.

As Kacper Kostrzewa, Project Director for the BC-Wind Project of Ocean Winds in Poland, said, “We are proud to have been recognized as Great Place to Work for the second consecutive time. This year, our talented and committed team has been key to continue advancing in our BC-Wind. We look forward for this new year, with important milestones ahead, and keep working on the exciting future that Poland holds for offshore wind”.

Ocean Winds is also committed to develop and foster young talents in Poland, promoting educative programs at local technical schools, as part of Career for the Wind, an educational program to introduce the future generations to the growing offshore wind energy sector in the Baltic region and the global opportunities within Ocean Winds in the country.

Ocean Winds was also certified Great Place to Work for the fourth consecutive year in Spain, where its headquarters are located, for the third consecutive year in the United Kingdom, OW’s biggest market presence with currently four offshore wind projects; and for the first time in the United States, where three projects are under development phase.

Bautista Rodriguez, Ocean Winds CEO, commented, “It is an honour to be once again recog-nized by our own employees as a Great Place to Work, positioning OW as a company with an inspiring culture, that prioritizes the well-being and growth of its employees. We close 2023 having achieved great business milestones, accomplished by the commitment of each one of them, and that is what makes OW a Great Place to Work.”
