Ocean Winds certified Great Place to Work
for the first time in Poland!

  • Great Place to Work® Certification is one of the most significant independent accreditations of management and business strategy, recognizing Ocean Winds as a company where people are at the centre of its corporate values and ambition.
  • The certification distinguishes the important year for Ocean Winds teams in Poland with the opening of the Warsaw office, reaching key milestones on the BC-Wind offshore wind project and preparing new growth opportunities.

Warsaw, 13 December 2022 – Ocean Winds (OW), an international offshore wind energy company created by EDP Renewables (EDPR) and ENGIE (50:50), has received the Great Place to Work certification for the first time in Poland. The GPTW certifications are obtained through an independent analysis, after a survey is completed by the employees, granted by the consultancy firm Great Place to Work®.

In Poland, recognized for the first time, Ocean Winds is currently developing BC-Wind Project, to support a project that has recently received a positive response on the environmental decision and that is expected to be operating by 2027. OW polish team is also working on a possible new site, as OW’s sponsors ENGIE and EDPR have announced their interest on the developing another site on the Baltic Sea area, and the final announcement will come along 2023.

Ocean Winds in Poland is also compromised with young talents, promoting educative programs at local technical schools, as part of Career for the Wind, an educational program to introduce the future generations to the growing offshore wind energy sector in the Baltic region and the global opportunities within Ocean Winds in the country.

Kacper Kostrzewa, Project Director for the BC-Wind Project of Ocean Winds in Poland, said, “We are proud to have been recognized as Great Place to Work for the first time. Ocean Winds was also certified Great Place to Work for the third consecutive year in Spain, where its headquarters are located, and for the second consecutive year in the United-Kingdom, OW’s biggest presence market with currently five offshore wind projects.
