Wind Experts, an international educational campaign organized by Ocean Winds, is running until 31 March 2022 to raise awareness about climate change and promote effective solutions to reduce its effects. The campaign is aimed at children aged 8-12.
As part of Winds Experts campaign, children will participate in two interesting educational sessions during which an educator who is an environmental specialist will present topics related to offshore wind energy. Together with teachers the children will gain knowledge about energy and its different sources, especially renewable energy. To this end, interactive educational materials and games verifying the acquired knowledge will be made available.
In the final stage of the campaign, children and teachers will be able to take part in an international educational competition organised in all registered schools in the three countries participating in the campaign: Spain, UK and Poland. Children will use all the knowledge they have acquired and test their imagination to build a model of an offshore wind turbine from recycled materials as part of the competition. Entries can be submitted until 31 March 2022.
